WHAT THIS IS

I've Got a Guy collects recommendations from ordinary people and shows you the most-backed name for a trade in your area. It is a word-of-mouth tool, not a vetting service, not a booking platform, and not a marketplace.

We don't check anyone. We do not verify licences, insurance, qualifications, or quality of work. A person appearing in this app means other people backed them — nothing more. Check licences at the relevant state authority before engaging anyone, and satisfy yourself about insurance and pricing.

USING THE APP

You must be 18 or over and verify an Australian mobile number.
Back people you'd genuinely recommend. Backing yourself, your own business, or people you have a financial arrangement with is not allowed.
Don't attempt to manipulate rankings through multiple accounts or coordinated backing. We may remove accounts and backings that do.
Only back someone whose details you legitimately hold as a contact.

IF YOU'RE LISTED

Anyone listed can correct, pause, or permanently remove their listing by emailing us from ivegotaguy.com.au/my-listing, without installing the app. We action requests within one business day. Removal blocks the number so nobody can re-list you.

NO PAYMENT, EVER

We do not accept payment from anyone listed, in any form, for any purpose relating to their position. There is no premium placement, no lead fee, and no sponsored result. If anyone claims otherwise, they are not us.

LIABILITY

The app is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, and without excluding any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for the conduct, work, pricing, or fitness of any person listed, or for any arrangement you enter into with them.
